REQUIREMENT
Identity, image and reputation is the most critical part of any corporate communication function for an organisation. The explosion of new digital communication technologies has contributed to the growing number of organisation in recognizing the values and need of having strong corporate communication. For these reasons, companies are structuring their budget and internal structures accordingly.

Based on the above statement, prepare the following:
1. Search THREE research articles/journal articles related to Corporate Communication Read the articles, and in your own words, discuss the roles and functions of corporate communication being discussed in the articles of your choice.

2. Choose TWO prominent organisations available in Malaysia. Each organisation must be from different categories. For e.g. media company and petroleum company; OR telco company and cosmetic company, etc. Based on the selected organisations:
i. Provide the background of the organisations and their stakeholders.
ii. Analyse how these TWO organisations use corporate communication to develop their positive corporate brand image and reputation. Provide real examples related to the organisations.

You will clearly state how the knowledge found during your research will help increase communication effectiveness with this culture (what did you learn that will help you with intercultural communication). You can use categories like family interactions, power distribution, gender roles, verbal, and nonverbal etc. to discuss the media’s portrayal of the culture and your research. You need at least five sources for this paper. Submit the paper online with a work cited page or bibliography. MLA or APA are acceptable. Paper: 3-5 pages typed 12pt font. Paper 7: Final Problem-Solving Researched Proposal (20%) A persuasive researched-based proposal addressed to a specific, named decision maker (that is, a person who has the authority to implement a recommended solution to a specified problem), stating a REAL, managerial problem that affects a group in your local area (NOT a national or international issue of large-scale complexity with no single decision maker). This problem could be in your workplace or school, church, or volunteer organization, or any other entity governed by some specific decision maker who has the authority to approve and implement your recommended solution. Your proposal must offer an ORIGINAL solution to the decision-maker (not simply endorse a solution some other person or group has advocated), and be presented in at least 3,500 but no more than 5,000 words (for the aggregate “package”), including, in this order: Letter of Transmittal to the external decision maker OR Routing Slip to the internal decision maker via any required intermediate approval stops Title Page (listing the decision maker’s name and title, the title of your proposal, your name and position, and the date) Executive Summary (the revised and graded version of your Discussion Topic response) Table of Contents (listing every section and beginning page number) List of Illustrations (the illustration/graphics titles and page numbers where your illustrations/graphics appear –– NOT the actual illustrations themselves) Introduction A series of Text sections separated by specific headings and including at least two integrated and sourced illustration/graphic aids (that is, incorporated on the same pages that discuss each) and in-text APA-format citations reporting at least eight external references that are listed alphabetically in the Works Cited page. The list of components and the order stated form the model for all such approaches to this assignment. Grading criteria: In correct format with “EXECUTIVE SUMMARY” as title (no memo or report headers, etc., needed) Addresses a specific REAL problem in your workplace, school, church, region, or volunteer Identifies (a) the Problem and (b) impact of Problem; and proposes (c) a Solution and (d) Steps that decision maker must take to implement that Solution. At least one-half page single-spaced (around 300 words or so) Does not use “we” or “our” wording to identify research or recommendations (which would mask the amount of work/effort done by the writer alone) Does NOT tell the reader who the decision maker is (because the reader IS the decision maker) Wording makes it obvious that the Executive Summary is addressed to the decision maker and not to the professor or to the class Expresses what is contained in the attached proposal and does NOT suggest what “will be written” or “will be researched” at a later date Uses appropriate spelling, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and mechanics Reflects positive tone
