Instructions Narrative based on Non-fiction In The Immortal Life of Henrietta L

Instructions
Narrative based on Non-fiction
In The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, the author reveals that Henrietta did not wish to donate her cells for research and that the family was not exactly pleased with the manner in which her body was used for science. Choose one of the following people from the text and write a 400 word minimum narrative from his or her point of view. You should include some of the facts and information from the text, but mostly this will be a fictionalized account of what happened based on your imagination.
Character Perspectives:
Deborah Lacks (Henrietta’s daughter)
David Lacks (Henrietta’s husband)
If you need help getting started, consider the following ideas as food for thought:
1) What time period do you wish to set your story (when Henrietta was living or after her death?)
2) Perhaps you’d like to write from Deborah’s perspective, growing up without her mother and later learning about her HeLa cells.
3) Consider writing from David’s perspective as he realizes his wife is dying or when he finds out that science has taken her cells without his knowledge or approval.
There are many more ways to approach this assignment; feel free to be creative based on the text.

Write a minimum of 275-word post in the first paragraph on the following situati

Write a minimum of 275-word post in the first paragraph on the following situation: In the documentary How to Tell a True War Story, Tim O’Brien states, “I’m forty-three years old and I’m still telling war stories. My daughter, Kathleen, tells me that it’s an obsession, that I should write about a little girl who finds a million dollars and spends it all on a Shetland pony. In a way, I guess she’s right; I should forget it. But the thing about remembering is that you don’t forget. You take your material where you find it, which is in your life at the intersection of past and present; the memory traffic that feeds into the rotary up in your head when it goes in circles for a while then pretty soon imagination feeds in and the traffic merges and shoots off a thousand different streets and as a writer all you can do is pick a street and go for the ride putting things down as they come.”

This is a profound and complex thought, O’Brien is sharing. Please explain in your own words what he means by “memory traffic” and how a writer must “pick a street and go for the ride”? Is the memory traffic more about accuracy or feelings and experiences? And what do you think the title of the documentary How to Tell a True War Story is referring to? That is, what does “true” mean? True to war generals, President Nixon, peace activists, veterans? Is the word “true” too complicated to have a single meaning?

Write a minimum of 150 word-post in the second paragraph to the following situation: In The Things They Carried, O’Brien mentions the multiple items he and his buddies carried during the war. But he and his buddies also carried psychological items upon their backs. For example, Lieutenant Jim Cross carried fantasies of Martha. Please explain who is Martha and what she represents to Lt. Cross, especially in a time of war where he never knew he was going to survive the next day? Please make sure you integrate one or two sentences from the text to help support your views.

Hello, my topic is obesity in todays time. Something along these lines. Thank you vvvvvv
Being in the military, comes with strict weight requirements. Often times we run into people struggling to lose weight or stay within the required limits. As a health worker (navy corpsman) obesity has always intrigued me. Is it genetics? Could it be laziness? Why do people with weight problems feel stuck with their weight? With technology advancing day by day and research being conducted on health and nutrition constantly you would think our society would be filled with fit individuals. On the contrary in todays era we are seeing the steady climb of obesity within our population. The answers on how to lose weight are accessible on the internet yet somehow people that are overweight are stuck with the mindset of being helpless and not able to change their state of being. Some would argue it’s due to the lack of self discipline, the convince of fast food, daily stressors or even the lack of education on proper nutrition. I want to dive into what makes a person do a full 180 on their life, what triggers the human mindset to jump into the intense transformation from fat to fit. My theory is that in order for an individual to lose weight they have to have a purpose, a goal or a passion to want the change in their physique.
